The Hotel-Guesthouse Sonnenbichl is situated in the village of Oberwössen, in the Wössen Valley, where the Alps of Chiemgau are at their most beautiful. The village lies just before the famous winter sport resort Reit im Winkl, off of scenic route 305 connecting Chiemsee and Reit im Winkl.

Our hotel sits atop a small hill facing south (hence the name - Sonnenbichl meaning “small sunhill” in the Bavarian dialect). Although surrounded by high mountains, our hotel receives sunshine year round from dusk till dawn because of its location in the expansive Wössen Valley. This is especially beneficial in the winter when the rest of the valley remains in the shade all day long.
